translucent concrete blocks Light Transmitting Concrete

The combination of concrete and fiber optic results in translucent concrete blocks or Light Transmitting Concrete - Litracon. The Light Transmitting Concrete or Translucent Concrete - Litracon is a combination of fiber optics and concrete. In the market, this product can be found in the form of prefabricated blocks and panels. Due to the small size of the fibers, they mix to the concrete becoming a component of the material, as aggregate compound. Thus, the result is not only two materials - glass in concrete - mixed, but creating a new one, which is homogeneous in its inner structure and on its main surfaces.

Litracon / DisclosureIt is thousands of optical fibers 2 microns to 2 mm forming an array which runs parallel between the two main surfaces of each block. These fibers are arranged in rows, transversally to the two faces of the block. The proportion of fiber is very small (4%) in relation to the total volume of the blocks. Furthermore, these fibers are mixed to the concrete due to their small size, becoming a structural member as a kind of aggregate. In theory, a structure of concrete wall built with such technology may have light transmitting several meters thick, because the fibers work without loss of light by 20 meters. According to its creator, the translucent concrete can be used structurally, since the glass fibers has no negative effect on the understanding of concrete. The blocks may be produced in various sizes and with embedded insulation.Litracon / DisclosureThe Litracon was invented by Hungarian architect Aron Losonczi in 2001, being protected by a Swedish patent, he founded his own company, Litracon in 2004. The company is located in the city of húngra Csongrád, 160km away from the capital, Budapest. It was created in 2001, in Hungary it is composed of 96% concrete and 4% fiber optics that together provide a robust and aesthetically pleasing, a more effective means of promoting internal lighting without opening cracks in the building.

The manufacturing process of the block is relatively simple, in one form arises optical fibers preferably linearly stretched, is added after the concrete joint (the self-compacting preferred).Technical Features:Composition: 96% concrete and 4% fiberDensity: 2100 - 2400 kg / m³Compressive Strength: 50 N / mm ² = 50 MpaTensile Strength in flexion: 7 N / mm ² = 7 MPaStandard Size Block: 600x300 mmThickness: 25 - 500 mmTranslucent concrete,transparent concrete,glazed concrete,concrete fiber optics,stamped concretecolored concrete,self compacting concrete,concretoconcreto translucent types,transparent concrete,glazed concrete,concrete fiber optics,stamped concrete,colored concrete,self compacting concrete,Types of concrete,transparentconcreteTranslucent,optical fiber,fiberoptica,

  1. Block Paving Repairs is a popular choice for driveways, patios, and pathways due to its aesthetic appeal and durability. However, like any outdoor surface, it can be subject to wear and tear over time. Effective and timely block paving repairs are essential for maintaining its appearance.
